Remove any file you want without Windows restricting you for no apparent reasons by simply unlocking the desired files and deleting them
Review by Elena Opris on June 19, 2013
In case you want to remove a file but you simply can’t, then you can rely on IObit Unlocker, a simple-to-use, straightforward tool that enables you to delete files and folders which the system refuses to remove, by unlocking them. This normally happens when a process is being used by the OS, and you cannot terminate it from Task Manager.
Unlock one or more files at a time
The interface of the program is based on a standard window with a plain and intuitive layout. Loading files and folders into the working environment is done via the tree view or "drag and drop" method.
On the bright side of things, batch processing is supported, so you can add as many items as you want, in order to unlock them simultaneously.
Aside from a simple unlocking operation, IObit Unlocker is also able to carry out tasks that automatically deletes, renames, moves or copies the item in question, after unlocking it.
Use a regular or forced mode
It is possible to enable forced mode, if the regular unlocking method does not work. This option ends the respective process along with the related ones.
IObit Unlocker is very low-demanding when it comes to the CPU and system memory, thus it doesn't put a strain on the computer's overall performance. It has a good response time and completes tasks swiftly, without causing Windows to hang, crash or pop up error dialogs.
We haven't encountered any issues throughout our evaluation. Thanks to its intuitive layout and features, novice users should quickly figure out how to work with IObit Unlocker.
A few last words
Bottom line is that having too many programs installed on your computer can generate the strangest issues. If you happen to be unable to remove particular files for whatever reason, be sure to use IObit Unlocker to end this problem once and for all.
